How we build Utilizzy

Utilizzy exists to finish one small job quickly: compress this image, merge these PDFs, check this loan. This page explains the standards we hold the site to.

One tool, one job

Each tool has its own page under /tools and is named after the task it does, so a search for “jpeg to png” lands on a page that does exactly that. We would rather ship fewer, working tools than a long directory of near-duplicates, and we retire or merge tools that do not hold up.

Your files stay on your device

Most tools run entirely in your browser using the processing power of your own device, which is why they work without an account and why your files are not uploaded to us. Each tool page states whether it runs locally or needs a short server step. The trade-off is that very large files can hit the memory limits of your device, and we state the limits on the tool page rather than hide them.

How guides and calculators are written

Guides explain how to get a good result, give a worked example where numbers are involved, and name the mistakes people commonly make. Calculators use standard published formulas, such as reducing-balance interest for loan EMIs, and show the working figures so you can check them. Results are estimates for planning: lenders, tax authorities and invoices set the final numbers, and the pages say so.

Tax rates, platform limits and similar figures change. Where a number depends on a rule set by someone else, the page points you to the current source instead of freezing a value that may go out of date.

Corrections

If something on the site is wrong, we want to know. Tell us the page and the problem through the contact page. Confirmed errors are fixed on the page itself, and the last-updated dates on the site change when content is materially revised.

Advertising and independence

Utilizzy is funded in part by Google AdSense. Ads are clearly labelled “Sponsored”, appear only on pages that carry written guidance, and are placed below the tool and the guide so they never sit between you and the result. Advertisers do not influence what the tools do or what the guides say, and we do not endorse advertised products.

Who maintains it

Utilizzy is built and maintained by Clickriq. See the about page for more, or the guides for comparisons that help you pick the right tool.
